May Molteno

Executive Director

May brings 25 years’ experience of work focusing on the intersection of people and place. Her expertise spans stakeholder engagement, community consultation, social impact and partnership building. May is passionate about how places can need to meet core human needs – and the imperative to manage these places with an understanding of the climate and nature emergency that we face.

Rosie Niblock

Head of Campus

Rosie manages the team at Republic. Her extensive expertise in brand strategy, development, and stakeholder engagement supports the team to make meaningful connections between our diverse tenants and local communities. Her work ensures that the campus thrives as a hub for collaboration, creativity, and learning.

Scott Brown

Head of Campus (maternity cover)

Scott is a Higher Education professional with over 13 years’ experience in leadership, student experience, and campus services. Experienced in managing multi-disciplinary teams and shaping strategies that foster inclusive and engaged student communities. As a qualified Gestalt Counsellor, he brings awareness and presence to his leadership of the Republic Campus team.

Anne-Marie Payne

Senior Social Impact Manager

With a background in the third sector, Anne-Marie’s focus at Republic is connecting Tower Hamlets residents to Republic Campus through interventions such as ESOL classes, arts projects, community events, and entrepreneurship support. She also works on initiating cross campus projects to enable the university occupiers to fulfil their civic mission ambitions.

Inas Khalil

Senior Events Manager

Inas leads the planning and delivery of a dynamic events programme at Republic, fostering a vibrant and inclusive culture at the campus. Bringing over seven years of experience in event management and marketing, Inas has a strong track record of crafting impactful strategies that build connections and enhance engagement.

Isabella Raphael

Events and Student Engagement Coordinator

Isabella supports the design and delivery of the Republic events programme and leads on our student engagement work. She brings a background in anthropology and a people-centred approach to her work. She resonates with our focus on co-creation and works to weave connections throughout the campus

Simona Anghel

Marketing Officer

Simona leads on shaping Republic’s stories and sharing information about our activations and events. She works to make sure that our students, university staff and community partners can find out easily what happens here and join in. She is a talented photographer, capturing live shows and performers.

Emma James

Place Strategist

Emma specialises in place curation, strategy and marketing. With a passion for all things 'Place' related, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management, a High Street Task Force Expert, and has a Masters with distinction in Place Management and Leadership.  She leads the place making, marketing and social impact at the Great Northern.

Lisa Kershaw

Community Builder

Lisa is a Forever Manchester Community Builder – with whom we have partnered with at the Great Northern. Lisa uses Asset-Based Community Development to get to know people who use the Great Northern, finding out what they love about where they live, what their passions are and what ideas they want to make happen.
